Who I Work With

Supporting Young & Mid-Life Adults Navigating Anxiety and Past Trauma

Much of my work focuses on men and women between the ages of 18 and 45 who look like they are managing everything on the outside, but internally feel exhausted by overthinking, self-doubt, or unresolved childhood experiences.

You find yourself stuck in loops of chronic worry, overthinking, or perfectionism that make it hard to rest or feel present.

Experiences from your childhood or past relationships still shape how safe you feel, how you trust others, or how you talk to yourself.

You are walking through a major life, career, or relationship transition and feel ungrounded or unsure of your next step.

You want a therapist who is warm, conversational, and honest, someone who will offer real tools and thoughtful questions rather than just nodding along.

Welcoming Teens & Adults Ages 12 to 65: While my spotlight is on adults ages 18 to 45, I work with clients across the lifespan. If you are a teen (12–17), a parent seeking support for your adolescent, or an adult up to age 65, I warmly invite you to reach out.

How I Do Therapy

Warm, Conversational, and Direct, Always at Your Pace

Therapy works best when it feels like a genuine human conversation. In our sessions, I bring a warm, conversational, and direct character. I enjoy gently challenging my clients and asking the hard questions, always in a non-judgmental way that gives you room to pause and really think instead of feeling like you have to be on the defensive.

My goal is to empower you with practical strategies and honest insights while helping you build real self-compassion and resilience. Being person-centered means you dictate the speed of our work. I pay close attention to your cues, nudging you slightly outside your comfort zone when it is helpful, without ever pushing too far before you are ready.

What Our Sessions Feel Like

01
Honest Reflection Without Judgment: We look at the patterns keeping you stuck by asking thoughtful questions that invite curiosity rather than self-criticism.
02
Clear CBT Psychoeducation: You will learn how the cognitive behavioral model actually works so you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and actions before trying to apply it under stress.
03
Client-Led Readiness: We check in regularly on what feels manageable. Deep trauma work only happens after you feel safe, grounded, and emotionally regulated.
How We Pace Our Work Together

You never have to unpack your deepest history in the first week. We build a foundation first so you have the tools to stay steady when deeper topics come up.

We start with whatever is interfering with your day-to-day life right now, whether that is daily anxiety, sleep disruption, overwhelm at work, or relationship stress.

Understanding the CBT Model

Through collaborative psychoeducation, you develop a clear grasp of the CBT model and build emotional regulation skills at your own pace until you feel confident applying them in real life.

Phase 3 • Deeper Work Trauma & TF-CBT

In-Depth Trauma Processing

Once daily symptoms are managed and you feel safe, comfortable, and emotionally regulated, we can move forward into deeper childhood or past trauma work using TF-CBT.

Meet Your Therapist

"I like asking the thoughtful, hard questions in a way that helps you reflect rather than feel defensive."

Hi, I'm Dana. I founded Blissful Mindset Healing because I believe therapy should feel both genuinely supportive and practically useful. When you sit down with me, you will not get cold clinical jargon or a therapist who simply nods in silence.

Instead, we work as a team. We start with what is weighing on you today, build a clear understanding of how your mind and nervous system respond to stress, and move into deeper healing only when you feel steady and ready. Whether you are seeking therapy in English or Hebrew, my priority is helping you leave our sessions with real tools, deeper self-awareness, and greater kindness toward yourself.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about starting therapy, consultation calls, session pacing, and scheduling.

Do you offer a consultation call before booking a full session?

Yes. I offer a brief 10 to 15 minute consultation call if you have specific questions before getting started, such as questions about scheduling, payment, my clinical experience, or whether I think my approach can help with what you are experiencing. You can request a consultation message through my Psychology Today profile. If you already feel comfortable and ready to begin, you are also more than welcome to book your first session directly online.

What does your first session look like?

Our first session is a welcoming, conversational intake where we get to know each other. We will talk about what is currently interfering with your day-to-day life, review your background at a level that feels comfortable for you, and clarify your goals for therapy. You will never be pressured to dive into deep trauma during your first appointment.

How do you pace trauma therapy so it does not feel overwhelming?

You always set the pace. We start with the "here and now" so you feel supported in your daily life first. From there, we use CBT psychoeducation to help you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and nervous system interact, building solid emotional regulation skills. We only move into deeper childhood or past trauma work once you feel safe, grounded, and genuinely ready.

What is your style like in session?

My style is warm, conversational, and direct. I am an active participant in our sessions rather than a passive listener. I enjoy gently challenging my clients and asking the hard questions in a non-judgmental way that invites real reflection rather than putting you on the defensive.

Who do you work with, and what ages do you see?

Much of my practice focuses on men and women ages 18 to 45 navigating anxiety, childhood trauma, and life transitions. However, I work with clients across the lifespan and warmly welcome teens (ages 12 to 17) as well as adults up to age 65.

How does telehealth work across Texas?

Because I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas, I can meet with you via secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions anywhere you are physically located in Texas, whether you are in Frisco, Dallas, Plano, Austin, Houston, or anywhere else across the state.

What are your rates, and how do I check my insurance coverage?

My standard self-pay rate is $150 per session. I also accept several major insurance plans in Texas through Headway, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, Cigna, Carelon, Centivo, and Curative, and I am currently in the process of being paneled with UnitedHealthcare. See the section right below to verify your coverage or book directly.
